I have seen a few posts that work out to "I know I should do ___ but I need to be reassured that it is the right choice." (Example: rooster that keeps hurting someone, but they are finding it emotionally difficult to rehome or dispatch him.)

Some of these "repeated questions, looking for a different answer" threads remind me of something some told an audience:

You open that oyster, no pearl. You close it back up, hold it, saying, "Please, pleasepleaseplease be a pearl ..." and you open it back up. No pearl. You do this three or four times, wasting all that time on a lost cause. Me? I don't see a pearl, I toss that oyster and move onto the next oyster. It's no wonder I find 4 times as many pearls as you do!

He just filled up the neighbor's tank, and gave them a bill with my name on it. Their tank was empty, and mine is half full.

It's all been resolved, thankfully. Or, they say it is. I believe them 95% right now, and will 100% when I get my next bill.
