Wow!I've already put in over 400hrs of OT this year and I looked at the schedule and likely will have another 400hrs OT by end of the year.
I quit working long before I could technically retire. It was long before I could take what I wanted to take from my 401K. There are ways to support one's self.Wow!
Save the $$$ from the OT so that you can retire earlier.
I told a coworker that DH and I planned to retire when he hit 59.5 so we could access his IRA without penalty. He scoffed and said, "You can't retire before you're 62." I said nothing, but in my head I shouted, "Wanna bet!?!"
