Don't be like them. Always treat people the way you want to be treated. Even if they still act like jerks, at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're not a jerk, but someone you can respect and live with.

Very true. In the end, other people's opinions don't really matter. In a year, two years, five, ten years, where will those people be? You won't even remember their names. They are not that important.

If you feel like you shouldn't exist, say "I was made for a reason. I am not a mistake."

It might be tough to do. I know it is. But you can get through it.

Someone once told me this:
Imagine you have to sit down every day with someone whose opinion you respect. You have to tell them everything you did that day. Are there some actions you'd rather not admit to?

That made me realize that even small inconsiderations -- just saying a snide remark -- can hurt someone a lot.
