Things you wish you could say

I'm sorry, Pat, my condolences. Losing my dad was the hardest thing in my life.
:hugs
Thanks it’s been really hard I’m surviving but I can’t sleep more then 4 hours a night usually around 2 if I sleep at all and eating is hard because my appetite is 0 and even if I eat anyways I end up just throwing it up and have no energy all of family wants to visit and be right there I just want to be alone yeah it’s nice but I just don’t want it you know? Today was especially hard cause we brought home his ashes this morning so.

I wish I could say ... my adult granddaughter ("GirlChild") did not just get diagnosed with non-celiac gluten intolerance AND Alpha-gal allergy to products of mammals, including beef meat, milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, in fact all dairy ..... and her favorite foods!

We already don't eat pork products, most seafood such as shellfish, so this limits our animal products to pretty much eggs, fish and chicken. This will radically change the way we cook and eat! Fruits, vegs, legumes, seeds are pretty much going to be our diet from here on out. Gonna be interesting. She can have corn, oats and rice ... that helps!

I do understand. Try to give yourself some "me" time so you can process this. Everyone means well, they care and want to show their love and support but ... it can get overwhelming. Just tell people what you need, they'll understand. Can you try a little sweet tea? It'll keep you hydrated and help against shock. Eat a little bit, frequently, avoid big heavy meals. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, clear liquids like 7Up might stay down in small doses. ❤️❤️❤️

Pat, it's hard because it was so sudden and unexpected, you had no time to prepare.
Yeah he went from laughing and playing around one day to in the hospital the next and in a coma the next 12 days later gone. I’m just really glad we did a family dinner the day before he was in the hospital as it was rare we had family dinners.
How's your Mom holding up?
About the same as me obviously a bit worse. She has a family friend that understands because he lost his wife last year so it helps her to talk to him.

I'm glad you have that happy memory. Life is so uncertain, isn't it!

And I'm glad she has someone to talk to. Do you have anyone like that? That's very important and can be so helpful.

I'm a bum for watching youtube with a ad blocker, according to google.
Last year I was watching youtube, and I got all those "You have three videos left" notices.

Well, today I just realized: Thumbnails have not been loading right, and I've had to refresh pages to get the video to load right. I've heard they are doing that to users with ad blockers.

Google, you are a terrible company. I only use your phone because I unlocked the bootloader, and I only use your services because youtube is the only place to watch decent videos.
Install NoScript as well. It is a pain to figure out which sites need to run scripts sometimes, but if you can figure out which sites are running the scripts to check for your ad blocker and block those, then you don't have a lot of the "You're running an ad blocker" problems.
