Things you wish you could say

I don't understand why any parent would not desire to put themselves out of the job of parenting (read: babying) their offspring at the earliest oppoortunity. We have 18 years to give them all the tools they need to live productive, independent lives. In some cultures historically children were considered adults at the age of 12!

Call it Bachelor Survival! 😆

Sorry you lost her, Roses. :hugs But yeah, ya gotta try.
I agree 100% I've been on my own off and on since I was 12, and pretty close to completely on my own at 15.

Same, as a child I certainly didn't want to be babied. I could use the microwave when I was 6 and at 8 I could cook basic things on the stove or in the oven. By 10 I was capable of doing most things to care for myself. I would have hated having everything done for me and not being able to learn for myself. Childhood is for learning the things you will need to know as an adult, children certainly aren't miniadults but nor are they dolls either
