Ouch. I've had and ACL repair and the knee will never be the same.Wish I could say ... I am not laid up with a torn meniscus and probably also a torn ACL ...
although, to count my blessings, I do have an adult granddaughter living at home to take care of me, bc I would be up the river in a stone boat with a feather for a paddle without her!
Thanks, Bee, this does not surprise me. I've had a repair on one shoulder for being "frozen," and surgery on the other for torn rotator cuff, and neither is 100% again. Shoot, I can't even open pickle jars any more ... or even a soda or water bottle! I guess I have to consider myself "feeble," lol. Thankful at this point I have loved ones to care for me. Wish they didn't have to, but ...Ouch. I've had and ACL repair and the knee will never be the same.
Oh, yes. I'm able to do normal stuff just fine. Going up hills and stairs is fine, going down them I have to be a bit careful. I'll never to martial arts seriously again, but I can do every day things with no trouble.Bee, will I be able to take care of my chickens again?

Make sure to be diligent about your physical therapy. I found out AFTER my surgery that physical therapy wasn't covered, so I went to one session, got all of the exercises that I was supposed to do, and did them every day on my own. That's why I have full mobility on my knee now.
