Things you wish you could say

I'd let ya.
I have no problem doing it cause like I said it's easy money but I've always worked for a living so it's kind of hard for me to do something that slow paced. Makes the time drag but I guess it is what it is.
I've also got an issue with being a problem solver so I've told the boss more then once that he should install a sprinkler system above it. Put it on a timer and let it water itself overnight.
Seemed brilliant to me. He started making expense excuses and I told him sh!t I could install that. Now his deal is that he'd have to rent a scissor lift. SMDH. Ya OK whatever, just keep paying me to hold my hose then.
Some companies will give you a bonus for that good idea.
A few companies I worked for do a fortnightly 1:1 with the team leader, the questions are what have you done that improve your work, what will you do differently.etc...

At the end of the year, performance appraisal based on answers to these questions which equated to pay rise, bonus, and promotion.

Some company have their performance appraisal structured that way.

I would toss the TV in a heartbeat. I can get the local weather online. That's really all I need to know about on a regular basis, and it's for the garden.
They never get our weather right anyways.
Weatherman has got to be the best job ever. You can be wrong every day and they don't fire you for it.

Turn off the TV. Get rid of it. My family got rid of it years ago.
.....I don't know....I love tv...I just avoid the news, but then I am scare that I might miss out whatever...like new laws about what can put in the bin, what up with the prices of grocery, tax time like now, what news about end of financial year tax.
Our tax calendar is July - June, so end of this June i must lodge income tax return, there is always lots of news about that.

I avoid watching the news for a few days. I would be very happy if they read the bad news with chickens running around on the background.

I know all about that. I work at a show horse barn. We try to have 2 girls that I call mini trainers. They're usually teens to early 20s that actually own and show horses themselves. They're like trainers in training and help the boss with lunging, riding, getting horses ready for shows etc, etc.
This are expensive horses and the owners are very particular about who does what with them. We hire "barn help" that is also usually younger girls. They're job is feed, water, supplements, Maybe put horses on the walker, etc.
Almost all say they have horse experience to get the job and then when they do they’re suddenly experts and want to do the mini trainer stuff or braid tails and manes. Anything to play with the horses instead of doing actual work.
It's so bad atm that one chore is to "water the arena" 3Xs a week. Literally stand there with a hose and sprayer and spray down the arena to keep the dust done. One hour of getting paid to stand around and take a few steps every now and again and we can't get anyone to do it.
Shoot I'm doing it. I ain't no horse expert nor do I want to be but I can recognize easy money when I see it.
I'd do that too if the only thing I had to do was come out and spray the arena 3 times a week and I'm not even a horse person (rode a horse exactly 3 times in my life and hated it every time). Seems like an easy way to earn extra cash
