Things you wish you could say

But that still should not be taught in a public school. They have loads of other stuff that is more important
Too many parents think that schools should teach their kids everything so they don't bother to teach them anything. I'm having a heck of a time educating my Godson who is 23. His parents think he's a genius, but he's lazy, reads at about 5th or 6th grade level and does basic math at maybe 7th grade level. He hates to think and believes that movies like The Matrix are documentaries (okay, I'm exaggerating just a little here).

I wish it was as important as other subjects. But most kids don't know their letters or their last name. Basics first then other subjects( and basics should be taught before school, I know)
My Godson doesn't even know his home address or home phone number. He's 23.

You guys are making me feel like I'm missing something by having no idea what Reddit is or what's up with it but at the same time making me not even wanting to go there or have anything to do with it. In other words, you're really triggering the bipolar in me! :lau So I'm just gonna do this  and stay away from it. Or them. Or whatever.

Reddit is bad. Site with lots of different stuff on it, usually not very family friendly language. I mostly use it when it's in the search results for tech stuff I research.

It's not 'bad' as it's the user base. Lots of people hiding behind screens.
What makes it worse is the vote up/down mentality.
Most of the subs I read are geared toward tradesmen, cuts 80% of the bilge out and highly informative.
Yessir, I would like to see the hack job of someone wired a hot tub directly to their homes circuit box.
