Things you wish you could say

Too many parents think that schools should teach their kids everything so they don't bother to teach them anything. I'm having a heck of a time educating my Godson who is 23. His parents think he's a genius, but he's lazy, reads at about 5th or 6th grade level and does basic math at maybe 7th grade level. He hates to think and believes that movies like The Matrix are documentaries (okay, I'm exaggerating just a little here).
This is 💯 true
My Godson doesn't even know his home address or home phone number. He's 23.
And this is sad. I'm sorry

I wish I could say, "Hey Jamie! How's it going? Want to sit and chat for a bit?"

My neighbor, Jamie, passed away this afternoon.
Sorry to hear this. This was the heart attack neighbor, correct? She has had a rough road lately. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and neighbors who loved her

He has asperger's and OCD. He is mostly lazy, though.
Asperger's is a part of the Autism Spectrum and a person with this disorder can certainly appear lazy, but generally (IME) they are not. They perceive and experience the world differently than the way the rest of us do. Without early intervention they may lack the skills and strategies to comprehend and cope with it effectively.
