Things you wish you could say

You are saying exactly what Christmas is about these days . The TV is going crazy with sales and sales for Christmas stuff. I stopped doing Christmas gift many years ago, enough already. I just give each person a nice juicy mango, no wrapping. No stress for me, friendly for the environment, healthy to eat it, and Christmas is so much enjoyment.

For us over here Christmas is summer and it is mango season, we have many varieties of mango and a box of 30 cost A$25. Mango look beautiful, juicy and very tasty to eat.
I love mango - you can give me one for Christmas, birthday, pretty much any reason and I will be very happy indeed!

What fruits at Christmas over there? Cherry?

Summer we also have cherry & lychee and they are very pricey.
I don't do the fruit shopping so I don't know what fruits we have over here during the winter (US). I don't think mangoes are sold during the winter, but I may be wrong.

Depending on what stores you go to, you can probably find almost any fruit at almost any time of the year. It may be expensive, and the quality may suffer from being shipped halfway around the world, but you can usually find it if you try.

Might be blue berry and cherry, I am guessing as they are cold weather fruits.
Cherries and blueberries get ripe in the summer.

Realistically, in the northern half of the USA, there are not any fruits getting ripe at Christmas time. So the choices are fruits that store well (example: apples), or fruits transported from somewhere else. I don't know what may be ripe in the southern parts of the USA at Christmas time; they may have something.

Nothing

Any fruits available here in the winter have been produced elsewhere. Much of the current fruit available in stores come from Chile and Peru.

There are citrus avazilable in the southernmost states.

You are right. I forgot how cold it is winter over there. In US or any snow winter country will have imported fruits and vegetables. Just to wait for summer @notabitail
