No, he is trolling BYC. He hijacks threads, ignores the thread topics and chats with himself. Just about the time he gets tired of no responses, someone replies to him.

I personally feel like he’s probably just old and/or lonely and doesn’t know how the site works. But then again I tend to see the good more often than I probably should lol
