I already have a few ameracuanas and 2 salmon favoerolles and I really like these breeds, but just laying breeds in general. Any breeds better to start with? Also a friend of mine asked if I could incubate some modern game eggs are these pretty sensitive?
And if anyone has the Eco 20 with an egg turner does it automatically stop turning or is that something I will have to do manually? I'm sure the manual will tell me but I am just so excited I can barely wait!

There is absolutely NO reason to put rocks in any Brinsea product to help maintain warmth.

The auto-turner is a cradle in which the incubator itself rests, so you unplug the auto-turner when it's time to stop turning the eggs. I wait until it comes to full upright position and unplug it then - TAKE CARE TO UNPLUG THE TURNER NOT THE INCUBATOR - MARK YOUR CORDS! - rather than taking the incubator out of the turner cradle and disconnecting the turner.

Hi. I just ordered the brinsea 20 today. Without the outo turner. I read that it is made so you just tilt the Incubator to turn the eggs, and then tilt it the other way later in the day to turn them again. Great deal on the us site right now. And i couldnt find any bad reviews everyone said it holds the humidity great. I did alot of googling before hand. And for $99, so your saving $30 right off the bat!

Yeah I'm glad mentioned marking the cord I would hate to learn that the hard way.

I thought it was a good deal too that's why I got 1. I was thinking about the mini advance, but this seemed to be a better deal. I decided to get the auto turner at the last minuite because im afraid I'll forget to turn the eggs. I would be crushed!

I was torn on the mini advance to. The auto turner had me. and the small size. But then when i read about the tilting on the brinsea 20 and im on a budget and the extra eggs you can fit in i figured the bigger the better. As my husband said ill probably be checking it 100 times a day so the tilting shouldnt be to bad. Im still enviouse of your tilter though, lol, any idea on how long shipping takes, i didnt find anything about that on the brinsea add.

I have no idea. . . Grrrr. . I received an email with the tracking number today but that was it. I really can't wait! Is this your first incubator?

If I remember correctly, I ordered mine on a Thursday night and UPS delievered it on Tuesday. It does have to have a signature to be delievered!! Can't wait to finally use it!!

Yes its my first. Im Syched. How bout you, is this your fisrt incubator. Iv bought so many silkie chicks trying to get girls so i can have a broody hen (my layers never go broody) But the chicks i buy always turn into roos. So Incubator it is. I cant wait.
I found someone out here selling Americana eggs for $5 for a dozen, so that probably going to be the first batch i do. Im on the hunt for silkies or anything a little different looking. Hoping to find local and not have to ship. Do you know what you want to hatch first. Mabe we can have a brinsea 20 hatch along, lol

oh Barred Babies thats good to hear yours came so fast, ill cross my fingers for the begining of next week then.
