idk if it helps but when i candle my eggs i set the egg on my tray on my bed before doing so that way They don't go for a ride.So I dropped another egg... I'm not sure I should touch them ever again... But this one went on one heck of a trip and now the air cell is trashed... How much of a chance does it have?
awesome i really hope something hatchesGot 14 BR Eggs and 4 mutt chicken eggs in the bator, lockdown last night just as two of the chicken eggs piped the exterior shell, took a second to candle a few of the BR eggs and looks like a possible interior pip on two of them ( I didn't check them all).... Doing things very different this hatch, hands off, bator closed unless I am removing chicks creating havoc., mist when I dio have to open it... After my last failed attempt I am being very strict on this one..
Chicken eggs are a day early so I suspect the Turkey eggs will be too..![]()
awesome i really hope something hatches
The air cell while it looks werid should be ok as long as the membrane is still intact

Tuesday is my hatchdate on the turkeys too... but with the chickens being early by one day I'm wonderingI still have 9 BR turkey eggs going strong. I think I will lockdown tonight or tomorrow morn, they are due to hatch on Tues.
I also had 16 chicken eggs under 2 broody bantams they gave up 2 nights ago and left their nest cold, upon candling eggs were lifelessThey were young first time broodies though so no worries, next time they will do better.![]()

lol.. "designer chickens" will be the next thing they are calling them!
I'm incubating my turkey eggs at 99.5-100 degrees at around 55 percent humidity, is that good?
I would drop that humidity down.. BUT before you do... have you been checking air cells or weight?.. if you have and they are on track then your hygrometer is probably off...

some of these people worship the almighty dollar a bit too much.. so they just don't care.. sad but true
Tuesday is my hatchdate on the turkeys too... but with the chickens being early by one day I'm wondering.. When I candled the two turkey eggs I saw shadows in the back side of the air cell so they are at least trying to position to break through inside... So different than my last attempt... Had 7 that were fully formed but never able to pip... Did a complete dry hatch this time and the difference is amazing! Dry hatch from now on!![]()
see... (can I say "told ya so"?).. I love dry hatching since our weather has been so wonky!![]()
Just watch how the first turkey does.. he he struggles too much then you MIGHT have to up the humidity a teeny bit (or block the fan's direct air flow if you are using a forced air bator to re-direct it a bit..).. but mine have been hatching with no issues.. so your's might be like that too..
