Yeah asking for help is really not worth my effort anymore so i do what i can by my selfI saw you already tossed these guys together. I have mixed chicks 2-8 weeks old, adding every 1-2 weeks & they all do fine. I have to make sure the smallest ones are agile enough to get out of the big ones' way, but usually no problems. I just pitched a batch of 25 3-8 week olds out in my main coop a couple days ago. We hadc2 pevking injuries from my turkey tom grabbing 2 chicks & 3 casualties from the old door my SO laid across unstable supports collapsing after I told him it wasn't going to work & he did it anyway (Men! *SMACK!!!*) Overall, no problems between the 25 babies & the 24 older chickens & 6 call ducks alreafy in the pen. The tom was the only problem & he got over it quickly & no problems since.
I had a father like that. Nothing I ever did was good enough & he was always too lazy to help with anything but always running his mouth. I moved out as soon as I could. The good thing I learned from growing upceith him is this: Never wait on a man to do something you can get done faster & usually better by doing it yourself. I have become very self sufficient over the years.
Well none of my other chicks hatched. I did eggtopsys on 1 and it was fully formed and looked ready to me but was not alive. I didn't bother with the rest. I gave them 25 days and only got 1. The duck egg is still in the incubator. Good news is that mg humidity is waaaaay up from what it had been. I'm only going 50-55% because the turkey eggs I set 4/30 are in with it. No rocking or pipping. Do ducks cheep? I don't hear any but I wanted to check.
Only 2/8 :/
Only 2 eggs were fertile they are the ones that hatched

IF the accessment of fertility is based on development, that is a hard call if the eggs were shipped. If eggs are not shipped, and don't develop, that can be caused by several factors too. Glad you got two!! Guard them well.Only 2/8![]()
