~*Third Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatch-Athon*~ all poultry welcome!

Quote: I'm not aware of any teacher evaluations here. At last months middle school meeting, the principle recently insituted an evaluation and sends constructive criticism to each teacher on a regular basis. She listened to us parents as for a parental evelauation of teachers. There are several teachers I would toss out of our school and definitely others that need to beef up their skills. A teacher that lies to me can GO!!

A bad pic but look at how long those leg feathers are.

The silkie looks to be partridge.

That's what I was thinking. It's so cute. Do the others look like they will have normal feathers?

I only see the 1 silkie & if both parents weren't silkie feathered it won'd be either unless both parents carry the silkie gene. It takes 2 silkie genes to get silkie feathers.

I have no idea what the parents were. I know she has a lot of frizzles. The others all have yellow legs and 8 toes so they probably aren't even mixed.

2 look a bit like cochins. Not sure about the tiny 1 with clean legs. Maybe oegb?

My hatch is nearly complete. I originally set 9 eggs under my broody, one of them was broken by her or a pullet and contaminated 2 others that stopped developing. The other 6 hatched clean. Out of my incubator, 6/6 brown eggs hatched. One of my 'refrigerator eggs' is still trying to hatch, not sure if it will make it.

One thing that amazes me about using a broody hen is how much more lively the little chicks are that hatch. They are already running and exploring the world at just a day old.
