It's now been 24 hours since I noticed the unzipped egg. I had to help this one successful hatchling out of its shell. It tried to stand up many times throughout the day yesterday, but I went to bed expecting it to die in the night.

I woke up this morning and it was standing up, although still wobbly and easily tired! If stick my face next to the incubator, it jumps up and stumbles over to me. It spends a lot of time resting.

It still looks wet, and I wonder if it's too humid in the incubator. I took the wet paper napkin out of one little water hole and dried out the other. Good move? Bad move?

Also, how long can it go without water? Thinking I could put a drop of water on its lips here in a little while.

Hope it makes it.

If its that humid it won't hurt any thing to open the incubator and get the chick out, while decreasing to humidity a bit.
