this “pullet” looks suspect.. please help!

They definitely look like speckled Sussex to me. And I would maybe just watch the one you're suspect of. It doesn't look blatantly like a cockerel, but that could change within the next few weeks. And 8 weeks really is too young to see any male specific feathers yet.
So.... more waiting to find out for sure

It's a Speckled Sussex, albeit not a very well marked one. And it is very dark which I imagine happens with hatchery babies. It is a little early to tell, but I'm leaning towards cockerel. Although it is possible that it's just a pullet with a larger comb currently.

It's only 8 weeks. I know mine was hardly spotted at all at 8 weeks and now look at her

hey just wanted to put an updated picture in of my speckled sussex. the comb has gotten a bit bigger and i’m starting to see the saddle feathers. This is 2 weeks after original post let me know what you think it is please

Yeah, I'd agree those look like male saddle feathers coming in

Couple that with the isolated spots only on breast and head and I'd say you have a cockerel
