These pictures just make me want to weep for our planet. Many of these picture are out there, but there should be so many more.

But, many many journalists and others have been banned from reporting on this magnitude of this and photographers both amateur and professional have been threatened.

how the areas of public beach have been closed to reporters (and residents) is pretty amazing, considering this is supposed to be the US. Same thing happened in Katrina, though.

My hubbys father called to go down there and volunteer..they said no thanks.... wonder how many others they turned away?..

There are news stories on the net about gulf residents being evacuated and a military build up. I think it may be fear mongering. Anyone live there can tell me????
