This chicken is not dead

The keet is about four days old in this picture and this was the very first time the rescued keet did the "dead" look with me. It just collapsed in a sunny spot next to my leg and took a nap! I had never seen a bird sleep spead out flat before (I am use to other more nest bound baby garden birds) so it came as a little bit of a shock to me.
This reminds me of how young black skimmers ( beach bird) like to sleep! I don’t have any pics but you should just look up sleeping juvenile skimmer, they look very dead🤣

This chicken is also not dead, lol

Failure to thrive. I had two that just never got bigger than bantam size. Chippy was smaller than my bantam cochin girls. She almost lived to two years old, so I felt blessed to have her that long. D'Barge is full sized and healthy. Of the other two that I had, Barbie was very small and lived around 18mo, Floppy Faye was a little larger and lived to be a little over two.
Im sorry 😞 I hope my girl grows big and strong but I’ll keep a close eye on her!

I wouldn't worry too much. My first two were from a "breeder" that didn't put much effort into selecting the best parents. The second two were from Hoovers by way of tractor supply. I'm sure your's will be fine.
