This is a Barred Rock PULLET, right?!

Thank you! I've definitely learned my lesson - no more buying chicks for me! Must resist the cuteness!!
That's easier said than done, trust me....;) They seem to fly into your cart!

If you refrain from buying straight run chicks, instead vying for pullets specifically, you'd be better off. :) Even this isn't a guarantee, but at least you've got a much, much better chance! :D And an excuse to get more :jumpy....:p

Thank you!! Definitely a rooster for sure, sadly!! He is the best though, has a lot of potential. He watches over all the other chickens and is already protecting them (I was just hoping it was great motherly instinct lol). He just hasn't found his voice yet!

I live in Ocean Shores, Washington.
Does this place look familiar?

Haha! "Fly into the cart" that's a great excuse! I wonder if it will work!

Also, of the 5 I got as "pullets", three of them have turned out to be males! I am a rooster magnet I suppose! :barnie I even had a silkie rooster fall in love with me before! Would do the little mating dance, bring me mealworms, chase off the other chickens - the whole nine yards! Plus, my heart is set on bantams, which are difficult to sex so young.

Maybe it's a sign to raise roos!
They are so sweet and fun when young.
