Gahh! That sucks! He's a great roo for sure, I'll make sure he gets a great home. The last nine roosters I gave away went to a farm with 300 other ladies!! They must be in heaven!

If you refrain from buying straight run chicks, instead vying for pullets specifically, you'd be better off.

I even had a silkie rooster fall in love with me before! Would do the little mating dance, bring me mealworms, chase off the other chickens - the whole nine yards! Plus, my heart is set on bantams, which are difficult to sex so young.

Also, of the 5 I got as "pullets", three of them have turned out to be males! I am a rooster magnet I suppose!
