This is a funny story

Guess who decided to come down and join the hens yesterday?
What an interesting crest! WOnder what breed or cross?

On a funny note, I guess we now know the answer to that age old question: "Why did the chicken cross the road?". It was trying to get to YOUR house!!
I was thinking the same thing :gig

Sounds like she wants to be chicken-napped!!
You COULD put out tasty morsels that make her more inclined to stay...

Haha that’s funny!! Yea I put out a little bit of scratch and dried meal worms along with some food and put out some extra water. He/she went back up in the tree last night but when I went out this morning to let the girls out he was chilling in the shade by their coop. Lol I don’t think he plans on leaving any time soon.

thanks for the better pictures.
this is definitely a hen. i would say she is a barnyard mix, and since she flys up in a tree is would say lighter breeds like game and leghorn. maybe even bantam.
definitely do not let her mingle with your chickens as i see she has scaly leg mites which can transmit to your hens.
nice looking girl though. i hope someone can catch her and treat the mites.

Oh! I didn’t even think to look. Ill look at it closer tomorrow if I see her. She’s super scidish and doesn’t let me get close to her. I have no idea how I would keep her away.
