Does she have access to areas where she can hide eggs? Just because one hen likes to put her eggs in a nest doesn't mean they all will.

I actually do remember the man telling me that he got the chicks from somewhere else, he said something along the lines of: the chicks were a rarer breed so he had to get them somewhere else and that they would lay blue eggs. I should’ve asked more questions but i didn’t :/Is she a cross of the guys own making perhaps? I have some beautiful blue Olive Eggers of my own making with single combs. They area a cross of my hatchery Easter Eggers and my blue English Oprington rooster.
Well that could be the key. Whatever she is, she is beautiful. I do agree that she looks to be laying or is soon to be with her bright red comb and wattles. Just FYI, there are blue egg layers that have single combs....not sure if you knew that.I actually do remember the man telling me that he got the chicks from somewhere else, he said something along the lines of: the chicks were a rarer breed so he had to get them somewhere else and that they would lay blue eggs. It is a hen but it is not an Ameraucana. It is probably a sapphire gem or a blue rock.View attachment 2702088
This is my chicken Hoop, the guy i brought her from said she was an Ameruacana. It’s been 8 months since i got her and she hasn’t laid an egg. I thought maybe she was stressed or something but i don’t think so, because Hoop is my most playful chicken, the way she earned her name is because she hops around the coop. Maybe the hopping is bad, I don’t really know what to do. I think she’s a girl, i mean i thought she looks like it but she won’t layor even nest in the area, my other chicken Goldie nests and lays so i know they know where to do it. please help me, i’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about her so we can get to the bottom of this.

I hope you share with us her egg color when your find out. Perhaps she is a Legbar cross with that single comb and him saying she is rarer breed. I just saw a picture on the internet of a pretty blue hen from Greenfire Farms that is a Legbar X Marans. This pullet will lay brown eggs.
When i find out i will post them, this just makes me rethink like maybe my other chicken isn’t even a wyandotte. I’m really about to text him ( I still have his number from when he sold them to me ) and ask questions because that’s not cool, i was so excited for blue eggs.I hope you share with us her egg color when your find out.
