This is a problem

I would go straight to the principal like others said. nVD is spreading like somebody said it went to Nevada. Sorry if I missed if you have previously said this but how many chicks did they bring in? It’s not your fault, either. They are just immature. If your teacher knows what is happening and is not doing anything it’s time to take action— you need to do a 1 on 1 talk with the principal. Emailing might not do anything. You need to act big and make the principal listen to you— no interruptions. Like people said print that for proof. And tell your parents. If you can’t stop this then if it’s a spreadable to human disease you need to stay home. Then you could email, if nothing happens.

I understand the concern for nVD, but this is not that. I am in WI, literally 1000's of miles away.
I'm not sure at all what it could be but the first chicken sneezing and coughing is bad enough. This new group acts and looks okay but I know for a fact that they are actively being treated with water-soluble medication. And require quarantine because the owners made a HUGE stink about how the birds HAVE to stay at school and can't come back home for several days.

I know. My point is they have traced it to Arizona, Nevada, and Utah now, all originating in CA. I'm not saying that's what these birds have, I'm saying that's how shit like this keeps going and going and going and going. We don't actually know where the boundaries of the Newcastle area are right now because of people ignoring QT and biosecurity measures. Millions of birds have died.

So, don't feel bad being That Guy.

Actually, another person, is the local veterinarian, even if they don't know much about chickens, they do know about bio security and state laws.

I do find it odd, that any of you are bringing your own animals into an ag classroom, I have seen kids visit places, or have shows or competitions, but generally animals in the classroom are highly vetted for the reason of bio-security. Generally if you have an ag classroom, you are in an Ag state, and with people's livelihoods at stake, this is taken quite seriously.

Maybe, it is that I am a teacher, but I am not quite sure we are getting the whole story.
