oh no, it gets better.
the next day he and one of the older boys go over there to fix the mess..the other boys parents said that it was all my sons fault and refused to have him help clean up. anyways, my older boy who has an obsession with taking stuff apart deems the pump broken and takes it apart on her front porch!!!!

Sorry if I sound cruel but I don't have time for sissified children. It absolutely drives me nuts when a child has a problem getting their hands dirty. I can understand being afraid of an animal that they aren't familiar with being around. My daughter who is 6 has a spoiled rotten brat of a friend who comes over who I can not stand but I put up with her because she's my daughters best friend. Maybe I put up with her because I feel bad that she doesn't get to experience "the farm life" at home. The first time she came over she complained how the animals smelled. So I turned to her and said well your poop stinks too doesn't it. Of coarse I was smiling as I said it. Kids now days are too caught up with sitting inside playing video games and watching TV, they don't spend enough time outside experiencing life and whats real.

My ballet instructors, who were very strict and from Austria, used to tell us that too. It made me feel nice, each time they corrected me, because they still thought I could improve.

I feel so good to read this thread! I thought I was so mean! At my work (retail, if you didn't know) I hear the most bratty kids! Omg, when I was little (and even now, at 22) I was NOT allowed to say "No" to my parents. If they asked me to do something, I did not talk back! I'd have a warm butt if I did! But I hear this all day:

Mother: Honey, don't touch that, please.
Daughter: NO! *throws item on the floor*
Mother: Honey, I said not to... *answers cell phone and ignores child for the next 20 minutes.*

Ahhhhhh. I need a retail recovery program.

I have said this before but it bears repeating from time to time.

I banned a kid from our house after he sprayed Pam on the bottom of his socks and slid ALL OVER my large tile kitchen floor. Anyone ever tried to Pam off of a tile floor?
