This is why I don't have more kids over!!

My kids have some pretty great friends so I enjoy having them over! I find they are more willing to try foods that my kids might normally pick at but they see their friends looking thrilled to eat it and then they try it! Since we've only lived in the country 5months it's a little harder for my kids to see their city friends but every chance they get they come out, and they are REALLY excited about the chickens and ducks arriving soon!!!!

Oh I so hear you! I did not raise my kids afraid of dogs, chickens, cows, horses, snakes, goats, pigs, mountain lions, bears, deer, rabbits, dirt, food or hard work.

When Cheyenne has friends over I call mom first and explain...we have a HUGE puppy, a little nasty ChiChi, 2 cats, 30 chickens, there is poop to scoop, dirt to move, composting to be done, I will feed her, she will eat what I cook, bedtime is 11 pm regardless of it being a weekend and I will take no crap. If this is a problem, then I shall send my daughter to your house to hang out.

I cannot tolerate the laziness in kids today, the lack of social skills and the shear cluelessness they possess. Come on parents WAKE UP!

As for this girl not wanting to get in the car, I would have been out in the rain calling her mother to come get her...I would not have wasted anymore time. As for mom being a clueless nitwit

Well if you look at it another way, If you get one of those lazy , spoiled , disrespectful kids come your way, You might have a positive influence on some of them that may help them later on in life. You just never know-
I had one kid at the Boys Club that I worked at that I came out of High School. I kept my foot up his butt all the time!! I thought he hated me , but I had to keep order with all those screaming kids. Years later I was in the courthouse and heard one of the probation guys really letting a young guy have it - I mean he was laying down the law! When I went past I was really surprised to see that it was Juan- . I spoke to him and he literally grabbed me broke into the biggest smile I have ever seen!! I said " Boy I know you aint fussing at somebody , as much trouble as you gave me. " He Thanked me!!!! He said he that me and a couple of others that were strict way back then were the hatefullest things he ever saw!! He then told me that when he got older , He realized that we were the ones who probably cared the most about him , because we were on him all the time to do right!! He said we kept him from going off in the wrong direction because we never let him get away with anything!! And now he's grown up , went to School and working with Youths in crisis!! That day was one of the high points in my life!! So you never know!! LOL
