6 stents here and darn near close to a bypass but the dr. said he opted for 5 stents instead because of my age. The 1st stent I had was my first heart attack in April '09 at the tender age of 35. 99% clogged but the walk in dr. told me I was too young to have heart problems and told me I was having a muscle spasm and sent me home. Well, 8 pm that night I decided to call 911 and found out that I wasn't too young to have heart problems after all. Got wheeled in to the cath lab and the nurse said I was a VERY LUCKY girl. It was very surreal watching them thread that thing through your heart and seeing it up on a tv screen...I had to turn my head...I was having a hard time bein alone and stuff and goin through this by myself. All I kept thinking about was my 2 little girls and how they needed me and how this mama had to get back home.
I'm glad the outlook is a positive one for you MFB. Glad you had your wife and sister there to be there for ya. And as I experianced...the love, prayers, and practical jokes so lovingly displayed by our very own BYC family does the heart and soul good too.
God bless ya even if there's an Imp starin in your key hole.
love,
gretch
