I hope so!! I hope I don't have horror stories to tell - but it is what it is and it's all a learning experience.
Tilly did something cool yesterday -- it was particularly humid and hot yesterday -- I checked in on the cameras a lot. She was lifting herself off the eggs (and panting herself) to cool off and not let the eggs get too hot.
I thought that was freakin awesome!
The little black marks on the eggs are sharpie stars I drew on them so I knew which ones were 'hatching' and any extras that are laid.
I hope she's a good mama - she's a great broody!
My incubator eggs are in lockdown since yesterday at noon, and they aren't moving.... but I really won't be too worried until Monday or at worst, Tuesday,
but ommmggggg the absolute NERVES all I want to do is sit over the incubator and stare at it.
I am worried because after lockdown started, like noon friday when it officially began and the bator stopped turning, etc - I punched up the humidity and it flew right up to 70, so I soaked up some water to get it back down to 65. Then I went to visit my son... got home that night - it had been 5 hours, it was down to 35. Not sure how long it was like that. I put more warm water in and it's been a steady 68-65 since, without wavering. So I dunno whats up with that but I hope everything is alright.
Anyway I'm glued to the dang thing
