So your saying that for Calypso's first year if she lays she might lay until September. I haven't raised many peafowl but from people around me that breed them have all or at least most of their hen's laying by April and ending around mid September depending on the year.

Well then I might be expecting eggs from Calypso sometime next year in May then. If Calypso layed eggs in August or September I probably won't let her hatch them. What would a IB Pied mix with IB make?
I have no idea if this is true. Found it in a UPA Forum. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Blue bred to white: All chicks will be blue, usually with a white wing feather
Blue bred to pied: Same as above, but chicks will be split to pied. This means the chicks are carrying the pied gene.

Blue bred to pied: chicks are all blue, but will be split either white or pied

How many %stage of IB peahen lay at one year old ? ... perhaps 5 % !
Those eggs are fertile ? ... perhaps 50% !
These eggs are from the end of the season and the males are not very fertile (moulting period).

5 out of 7 of my one year olds layed that i know of, it was my first time nest hunting with peas, none were fertile as my oldest male was a month into his molt.
The next year all 4 yearlings layed and all 7 of 2 year olds layed fertile eggs.

Also those 1 year olds only layed 1 clutch and stopped.

My three mature hens laid their majority of eggs May-August, then less in September, and one of them laid some in October and November, those I decided to eat or they were laid from the perch and broke. I'm no expert, but if your young hens lay it probably won't be many eggs.

They (Calypso and Thora) won't be a year old until July and August, right? So I'd be surprised if you saw any eggs from either before then.

% of yearlings that have laid here is 0%, but maybe I'll have some this season.

So you are saying that all 4 of my females which were hatched the 12 th of August probably won't lay this year??? My 2 males were hatched the same day.

My first three hens laid none in the 1st year, a few eggs in their 2nd year, then more in the 3rd and tons (over 100 between the 3) in their 4th year. My second batch of 4 yearling laid none in their first year. So for me it's been zero eggs from a total of 7 yearling hens. The majority of mine hatched before August.
