Those who need help in sexing peafowl

What's you guys problem with snakes? We train ours. In addition to mice hunting duties they assist in setting/incubation.

Holy crap no way! I don't mind our garter snakes, but to find a big ol snake in a nest box would about give me heart failure! The neighbors would know I found one cause they'd hear the screams for miles lol! I guess if you grow up with them around it may not bother you...kinda like going camping here knowing you might come across a bear. I'm cautious but not scared about it.

I got news for you. That big ol lavender orpington hen was in there with him. They were keeping each other company. I reached in there under her and found him.

I am not lying when I say it is a rare day that I don't see an oak/rat snake. I generally leave them alone.

I love finding snakes, they can make a boring day rather interesting. Here's a prairie rattler I was lucky enough to play with in the dark.

I could of easily killed it but I respect them tremendously. He wasn't near my house, he was where he belonged. Im not going to kill a snake for being a snake in the wild. Actually it was a she, and ready to give birth.

Doesn't take much of a man to kill a snake, that's what women do man. Instead of being a girl about it, educate yourself and enjoy nature. Most people scared of snakes, know absolutely nothing about them. Snakes play a big part in the ecosystem. If they aren't posing a danger, there's no need to kill them.

I like snakes more than people. I've never met an ignorant stupid snake, but I come across ignorant people everyday.

I love snakes, every time I find one I make a lengthy photo and handling session with it. One day I will travel to rattlesnake country and hopefully get to at least see and photograph one.
Around here we only have Western Terrestrial Garter snakes, but they are awesome(and if found close enough to home go for a ride to our property)

Hum... You should get acquainted with the diamond back rattler, water moccasin copper head & coral snake! They are not a whole lot lot of fun to play with!

I should hope not!! Not all snakes are good to be around!

Except for the coral snake they are all in Oklahoma. So, I give any snake a wide berth, and I take a rather dim view of the eating my bird eggs !
