Hey Kathy what about this one for your Top 10:

You remember, the person that wanted to have a peacock for an indoor pet and take it for walks on a leash, and imprint it as an experiment and then give it away if it didn't work out?
Yes, that would qualify for sure!

And then there's this one. Too bad the mods edited out the really funny stuff.

Here's that Birdrain tether situation you mentioned:

"Then I got peafowl eggs from the person I got all these guys from. I hatched out 2 out of the 5 eggs I got. There names were Ion and Aurora. Aurora died because when I had a tether on her leg she wouldn't stop flying and she pulled both legs out of socket and then she died a week after."

Wow, so I was right, yet he still suggests that people do this?

Because of this person https://www.backyardchickens.com/u/227229/cochinator , but it looks like they deletedd all of his posts where he was suggestin that people feed it to their chickens.

Scary avatar on that one.

I can't believe he had a peachick pull both legs out of their sockets and die and he did it again. What is the fixation with the tether, when the birds are full grown, he's not going to want all that weight sitting on his arm anyway. It's not a falcon and this isn't a fairy tale, hope he figures that out soon.

It is probably because he wants to show his peafowl that he mentions the tether. I must have missed that about the peachick... YIKES! Birdrain you really need to take the tether info off of your site. Even though it is a small mention of using a tether, people looking for information will suck up what information they can find, and since you can tether other types of birds like birds of prey, it wouldn't sound too far fetched to people.

True, no need to have any more peas die because someone thought this might be a good idea.
