Yeah in fact here is a peahen that looks similar too that I had and she was killed by raccoons. I know it was a peahen because she was in the nest box on a clutch of eggs when the raccoons got her.

Here are some younger photos of her.

I don't think it happens that often, but yes you can have a peacock that is aggressive to his peahens. Many different pheasants are this way and peafowl are no exception. I read one time that someone's peacock hated white peahens. I can't remember if he would kill them or almost kill them but they blamed the issue on him not being raised up with white peafowl. Maybe because you have been raising just India Blues, your birds are not that used to a peafowl with white on it and therefore your peacock is behaving aggressively to Thor. Also many other things could be making your peacock want to fight. I know my males have to assert their dominance to even the peahens and will chase them around and do some kicking until there is a dominance understanding. As Blue Creek Farm said, Spaldings and Green Peafowl are more known to be rough on their peahens. That is why peafowl breeders put up something for the hens to get behind, on top of, whatever, to escape an aggressive male. Caging birds changes some of their behavior. They have to learn to live closer to each other than they would in the wild. Also since it isn't the breeding season the males are not interested in breeding right now so they are not being the kindest to the peahens. My peacock was pecking on the peahens so that he could get all the treats to himself.

Birdrain, could you take close ups of Thor's crest or does Thor not have one?

Thor had one feather of a crest, until his recent molting. Now he has no crest.

Thor doesn't have a crest. Not sure why Thor doesn't have a crest. He's molting I'm finding tiny feathers every where.

I think it is breeding season because Colbolt has been fanning just about every hour and he get on Jadea but then she smashes his back on the ceiling or board outside.
