He said that all the peafowl people he knows "breed" them, which usually means they sell them, too, right? He gave me the impression that peafowl owners/breeders in Idaho think Thor is male, so those are people that I wouldn't want to buy birds from. Make sense?

Yes Kathy. It does. Thank you for clarifying and thank you for your opinion on Idaho Peafowl breeders. I won't argue any further over this with you.

Do you have more pictures of Thora's breast/abdomen?
As per your avatar picture:

*ETA I think I'm now confused about which of your girls you think isn't, sorry.

To help clarify, Thor(a) is on the left in this picture. The red arrow is pointing to the breast/abdomen of Calypso (the female).

Thank you ARML for that clarification!

I did go back, look at other pictures of these birds, and correct myself, as can be seen in my last post.

You're very welcome new2! And yes, your correction is noted.

As per your request, here are some of the pics I took of Thor(a) on December 21st. These ones seem to show the breast feathers better than some of my other pics I'd taken of said Peafowl.

Lovely, thanks!
I wish you'd come take pictures of our peas, mine never turn out very well.

I wish I could too. I'd love to see your peas! And I haven't been to California in almost 10 years!! It's ok. I'm sure with a little work, and as long as the Peafowl don't move too much, I'm sure your pics will come out great!

Please feel free to go take a look at some of my other photos on my photo website. It also has all the Peafowl photos on there too.

One feather is not gonna provide much info as far as sexing goes with young ones , they change color in light and never look the same alone as they do in a group.
This single feather is from the group of feathers below notice the difference in color
