Post number #8-Dany12, #12,Zaz, #14,New2, #15,Casportpony, #18, New2, #19,Zaz, #21, AugeredIN #23, Arbor, #28,country_girl011,#71,Roseheart16,#101,Zaz, #115,Arbor, #126,3BirdGirlz,#157, Blue Creek Farm,#349,Connerhills, #400,FBC,#498,Minxfox, #629,Dylansmom and last but no way least,post#659,Yoda,,all says thor is a Thora,About 20 people here say you've got a Thorette,Thora,Thorina,Thorleigh,ect.

Time for a Merlot Hatch-a-Long,,anyone care to join??

Yes I am.

Did you see the comments from Connerhills on the genetic thread?

Primary feathers are chocolate brown and the head is too dark to be a male. Head isn't accurate but it's a last resort primary feathers work the best in my opinion. Jadea and Colbolt, mom and dad were feed 16% protein and cracked corn before the first egg. Then when the first egg was layed I bumped them up to dog food and medicated chick starter, 18%. The chick was feed medicated chick starter ever since hatch day. My aunt believed the lack of protein started off because the parents didn't have such high protein.

Male primary feathers are more of a orange color in my opinion. Like these
The bottom orange like feathers

orange feathers in middle.

Exactly how many peachicks have you actually raised? As for feed all of my hens are on layer during breeding season, 16% sounds right for the protein, we had 1 chick with curled toes and 44 that were fine. Our fertility was close to 95% and our hatch rate was close to 90%, I don't think a lack of protein was a problem for our birds. Nobody here eats game bird feed except my Burmese and his is mixed with the normal feed. Too much protein is cited to cause Peachick leg problems over and over again on the United Peafowl Assoc. 's forum.
