Hi, Everyone! I know you all get asked this a lot, but I'm really confused !

Do I have a hen or a roo here? She is just over 4 months old and was sold to me as an Americauna from a farm supply store. I've since heard that chicks from a farm supply store are usually EE, not Americauna. For 2 days now she has been making a noise that one might call crowing, but it's not 100% cock-a-doodle-doo. She has never exhibited any roo behavior - she's sweet and docile and has no spurs. Her hackles and saddle feathers are kind of pointy, but not as pointy as the pictures I've pulled up to compare to her.
I appreciate any help!

BTW, please don't laugh if it's obvious I have a rooster. I have my reasons for being delusional! Thanks again!

Easter egger rooster.

See those longer yellowish feathers hanging down in front of his tail? Those are saddle feathers. They'll get longer, but none of your pullets have those. Some ee pullets can look like they have hackle feathers, but if you really look you can see the difference. Plus the patches of red on his wings indicates male. Your pullets will have a more even over-all coloring.

Thanks, Everyone! Can't say I'm not disappointed, though. Guess I'll change the name from Cleo to Leo, quit looking for eggs, and try to figure out what to do with this rooster I'm not supposed to have.

Funny how being told you have a "sexed" chick can make you blind.

LOL, yup!

There may be someone on your state thread who may be interested in him. I am in Michigan.... I can have roosters... How close are ya?
