So, for a dry hatch, you forget humidity up until 18 days, then up it to ? I've had so many problems with hatching - or non-hatching I guess I should say, that I almost gave up and sold my incubators! I'm currently into a hatch and have the humidity at 35%. When time comes, what do you recommend I up it to?

Hey Jane, hows it going? Mine usually take 12 hours from pip to zip. Ohhh exciting. I thought it was great too that there are no "sticky chicks"

Jane, not to hijack here but I have to tell you how funny the BLRW are. For two days now I get to sit and listen to them forage in the shavings for food!
They are hilarious. They have a whole big container of it but they want to scratch, seek and find. They are going to be fantastic free rangers when they grow up.

I always had terrible luck hatching until I switched to dry hatching,I am glad it is working for you too....I do not add any water till day 18+ then I add water to get the humidity up to 60-65...last hatch was 16 out of 20.

I just reset my Brinsea for 30%... we'll see how I do. (Had it at 35) I'm in day 5.

It's real easy to let the humidity in the 1588 get down.... and the Brinsea will pump automatically once it goes below 30.
