How has everyone been? Weather has been so nice. Chickens are happy to be in the sunshine. Started planting some things in the garden. The joy of the Lord has been my strength and His peace i let rule in my heart and mind. I have to remind myself that no matter what I see happening in the news, my God is still on the throne! We will always have hope because He lives.

We have gotten a total of 14 chicks in the past few weeks, spring is here! Although some days the weather doesn't seem to know this.

I have an amazing story for you! My friends in CO have chickens and had ordered some chicks a month or so back that were scheduled to ship this month. They shipped this Monday right when the bad weather hit. They were called on Wednesday and told the chicks wouldn't deliver until Friday because of the weather delays 😨 they told me that at lunch time so I was praying for God's mercy and sustaining on those little lives on my way back to work. The chances of those chicks surviving 5 days in transit seemed bleak. That evening I got a text saying they had arrived! On Wednesday! ALL alive and well! I was so so so relieved. With the postal system the way it has been lately, plus the added weather, just try telling me that God didn't perform a miracle for those little lives.

We also had one of our little 3 1/2 wk RIR's sick on Saturday, ended up being an abscess on her shoulder, she couldn't stand up and would just flop around on her side. I got her cleaned up and treated and with some really good advice from this site and prayer, she was back on her feet in a few hours and by yesterday she is back to 100%!

Oh Tink I love to hear those praise reports. God is so good. If His eye is on the sparrow I know its on our chickens too. So happy to hear all the babies are doing well. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

I come from a big family also. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers, of which I am the oldest. Great to meet you and look forward to chatting with you.

Has God been speaking to anyone lately that they would feel comfortable sharing? A word in season is always good for the soul and encourages all who hear it. God has really been encouraging me to take Him at his word. If He said it He meant it and I need to believe it. No matter what I SEE, I know that God is in the background working all things together for my good!

Radishes are fairly hardy. They should take a frost no problem. I would cover them if it looks like you will have a heavy freeze(below 28F)
