Here Marans are to the French standard, so they have feathered legs. We pretty much only have the wheaten though, and people are working no developing other colours.

Thanks! They both were born with lots of feathers, and they are coming in now! These are french marans

I'm at work, so that means I can't rate myself too much more than 'fine'. But it's Friday, so at 5pm I'll be GREAT!!

I'm very pleased to have finished my new duck pen to the point at which I could put ducks into it. They seem very happy to have their new house. Even though I had the door open this morning they didn't want to go out into the yard - they just stayed in their house.

It's definitely not snowing here.

You missed sm's big 10000 post, iain's eggs are rocking, qj got an ancona drake, 70 showed off her beautiful pen, DG's back, and Jaz rubbed her adorable goslings in us waiting for our's to hatch people's faces. Lol, I don't think I missed anything.

Jasmine, you will love the blue when she puts size on. Nice copper starting to peak through on the black too. Unfortunately they don't meet the French standard though because of the lack of leg feathering. We have a couple in our eatting egg flock w/o legs feathering the blue lays a deep egg, but not as dark as some of the BCM eggs get. They are still pretty though, and chatty girls too.
