SM: How are you going to part with that chick? It is too stinking adorable!

Its going to be hard to let her go. I have been calling her fluffy. The lady that is getting her should a picture to her coworkers and one of them said so its such a cute puppy.

How in the heck do you see a puppy. I love this little chickie. I call here fluffy and she comes running up and hops in my hand, She has been out in the living room with me all morning, walking all over me and my shorthair. My shorthair growls when the other dogs come up to see the chick. Its so cute. But the chick likes to sleep in my hair or in my hand, I love her.

I had a major disaster this morning. One of my eggs exploded in the incubator. I have 4 days till lockdown so while I had the goose eggs out for the cooling off time, I just emptied the incubator and cleaned the whole thing out. It still smells but I know its cleaned out good. I always use dial in it to disinfect it so it is cleaned. Some of my eggs had little air cells and they are due sometime after next Friday, so I moved them to the chicken incubator which has no water in it so hopefully that will help the air cell get alittle bigger.

Evelle sorry to hear about your orp. I hope you find what is getting them.

I just candled my eggs so that I can put them in lockdown first thing tomorrow morning. Everyone is lively and wiggly today. I think they are wanting out. Lol! I want them out to. I want to see my little babies. I will be putting the eggs I got yesterday in tonight. I am especially excited for the palm eggs I got.

I am going to have to go out and fix up my brooder for winter. It is a little chilly here and it is made to be used in spring/summer. I didnt expect to start hatching this early this year. I just built it in january to. Then I got so excited I got hatching eggs. Lol!

Will post pics when I get some to see if everyone thinks it will work. I hope it does.

Hubby is home today and he is napping here on the couch and its a wonder you can't hear him snoring, Man I hate that. He is SOOOOOOOOOOO LOUD!!! I have been going to sleep with my ear buds in listening to music at night so I can't hear him, Last night though I could hear him over the music,

SM: Awwwww!!!!! I didn't realize chicks could be as cute as ducklings or goslings.
This little thing is adorable. She cuddles right up to me. If all chickens are like this one, I love them over ducks now. But I can't keep chickens at all. My sister can't even come see me right now because of the baby now. She works with Biomed so she isn't suppose to be around anybody that has birds, specially chickens

SM: How cute. That little chicky loves you.

Evelle: Are they just disappearing? cuz if it's a fox, my guess is you won't be able to trap it. Where is it getting in? I hate that!

DG: I don't know for sure. They were part of her project. The choc. rooster is a bantam, but she has an orp project going on. So who knows what I'll get. Her flock was co-mingled at the time so I got them cheap.

Utah: I don't know what's up with this whole, "I wanna come out backwards" thing.

Little Choc. has internally pipped further. Lemon #1 is almost out, looks like her sac is absorbed.. but this is the weirdest thing because the air cell is still completely in tact. I've never looked into an egg like that. It's weird. Kinda cool to see what they have to do to get into the cell though.
