Where did that duckling come from? Did you hatch it? I cant remember lol.

LOL! I hatched it with my cayugas from eggs I won on ebay. Out of 12 eggs, only the 1 developed. He is not a regular ancona duck seller, but a regular chicken seller.

OMG!!! I hadn't seen this when I got your PM, so I was confused!!! At least they were free eggs. Were ANY of them NOT broken??? Of course their probably scrambled on the inside anyway. I'm soooooo sorry. Do you want me to try again.

OKAY First off I do not care what was in the box..... It is marked FRAGILE. Period.....

I swear their is a NICE Bootprint on the box. ALSO this only came from Oregon (just one state below me).....


I love the coment from the Lady at the PO....... It should have been marked hathcing eggs, it would have been handled better ..... WHAT WHAT !!!! So if it says hatching eggs fragile ~ Won't be mangled??? But if it is just marked Fragile it will be handled with less care??? REALLY REALLY !!! First off my Mail Lady Carrier rocks, It was not her handling ~ This is how she recieved it.

THEY actually double bagged it in plastic because it was oozing all over her other mail !

I ALSO made my mail carrier stay there & watch me open it, and showed her how each egg was individually bubble wrapped (though it was hard to tell becase they were SMASHED (not broken but) SMASHED

So this is not a case of a dropped box, & is not a case of "what the shipper did or didn't do" This is just POOR PRACTICE!!!!!

update me CG, which hen is broody, and who all is laying?

one of my chickens is broody. so i put 5 eggs under her.
and im not sure which duck is laying.
actually 2 are. but 1 lays like once a week . the other lays faithfully everyday so far (for almost 2 weeks)

SM, oh no! Glad you caught it early. Our cabinet did that once right after getting it, had me scared it would do it again.


Jaz, again it is my opinion that the eggs were packed poorly. I am entitled to that opinion since I also ship eggs and take pride in how they arrive. Free, paid for, donated doesn't matter. You pack eggs with great care when sending them to someone to hatch.


Time for a new subject as this isn't worth arguing over.
