Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Julie, it's amazing how different they are, huh? When we went to take them out of bator, instead of being scared... they were happy to be picked up and cuddle in our hands.

FYI.... goosie #4 is starting to zip!

Are you brooding them with your ducks? My calls are still very friendly. I think it's because of the goslings. My other ducks started getting shy around a week or so, these ones still run up to me and nibble at my hand and will cuddle without peep peep peeping. They are also very quiet in the brooder, I forget they are there until they knock their water over and start calling for me to refill it.

Awww I wished my goose eggs vained up

I would have loved that!!!
I'm defiantly going to try again when they start laying again.

I will send you some next spring.

Ok geese people, Someone made the comment that they're like lap dogs. (or whatever). That's what I was really hoping. That they would be more "pet-like" than the ducks.

I have my humidity at 30 right now, and my air cells have dropped a teeny tiny bit more. Should I keep it at 30 for another couple days? Or slowly raise it a little now?

The goslings are getting their own place. Hubby is almost finished building their new temporary brooder... then he is going to make a 2nd larger indoor brooder pen later today or tomorrow. I will take pics when they are moved into new home.

Ok. I just told the hubs that we have 5 new chickens. I was totally okay with it and actually said, "I'm excited for you.".

What? um.. okay. He's "excited" for me.

WEIRD!!

:)
