Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I just put a new blankey in for the chick/duckies, hehe, and they love it. I took them out of the container and gave them the entire tub to play in. Water and food at one end and their blankey and stuffed animals at the other. I put my hand down and tapped my fingers and they all came running up and climbed all over my hands. I loved it.

I am selling my black swed and WH to the guy that bought all my other ducks. I am only going to keep Robyn and Jonny for awhile. and probably the chick/duckies. I have Cayugas and a SA due to hatch next Thursday and the same guy wants all of them. My other incubator is FULL of Pekins and a few Buff/SA and Runners. He is buying all the runners and some of the Pekins and the girl that bought Fluffy and Squishy is buying the rest of the Pekins that hatch. It seems like I hatch them and they are gone. Which is good I guess.

It is SM that way you don't have to stress about where they are going!!!!

I just love the top hat polish. I adore them. I am getting these: They are on their way to me right now. I should have them tomorrow I hope. THey are coming from CA so I hope they don't sit at the PO over the weekend.

Dont buy supposed "Ameracuana" chicks from a feed store or hatchery. They are miss labeled Easter Eggers. Hatcheries sell them wrongly named and leave the owners confused and eventually mad over not having the real thing.

Hi Stillmecle!

Hi guys. I am slowly waking up from a much needed nap. The last baby is almost ready to go to brooder, then I will give the remaining 2 egg a careful check and report. The first three are settled in nicely in their new brooder box (which I love... thanks hubby!), and hubby has halfway built a matching large brooder pen to move the new babies to once they outgrow their current box.

Looks like our 3 week olds have entered the humans are murderers phase... and have become scared of people overnight. Fortunately, they see me as safe, but hubby is a little hurt. How long does this phase last??

I have a question on some of the eggs I received in the mail. The air cells of course were detached and seem to have alot of fluid in them. They are in the incubator and have heartbeats but there is still alot of fluid and it seems to be moving towards where the hearts are. What do i need to do? Should I have them at an angle? My humidity is at 35% and temp is 99.5 in a Hovabator, hand turned three to four times a day. Any ideas on how to get the fluid to disappear?
