How many eggs does your hovabator hold?
hmm good question (not that i should find this out i will fill it up)
uhm as many as i shove in there ? lol =)
let me find the paper and read real fast c if it says
doesnt say in the packet. but online it says
Without a turner in place all Hova-Bators will hold any size egg, from 130 small Quail eggs, up to 50 large duck eggs.
which means more than 50 call eggs (haha insert smiley with devil horns)
too bad i have 3 thermomoters in there. so those take up a lil space.
polish are great, but a little word of warning for yall getting them. You have to watch them in the winter time because they will get a drink and the crest always gets in the water and wet and then it freezes leaving ice hanging in front of their eyes. Poor babies, so we always done a hair cut on them for winter to keep that from happening.
They can also be quite the little head pickers too. They pick on each others top hats and leave bald heads..... We used to get this stuff to stop picking and put it on their heads, but as the crest grow back in it leaves them stained. Eventually we just decided to get out of the polish because of all the trouble they were.
Good morning all! I am happy to report that all my new ducklings and goslings are doing great! I haven't seen any progress with the remaining goose eggs, but I have four adorable fluffballs... and I am pleased with 4 out of 6 hatching. Plus, gotta make room in the bator as I have 36 duck eggs being delivered in 5 hours!!![]()
I need an update.... Who's hatching this weekend??
OH wow! That would work for me. LOL. I like the LG but I wanna keep it for a hatcher. And I want to unplug the cabinet so I can do some work on it.
I love my local post office... yesterday they tracked down my ancona eggs to make sure they would arrive today and then this morning my post lady called me to see if I would rather pick them up instead of having her deliver them. She takes extra good care of my eggs, so I told her it was fine to deliver them. Gotta give props to the USPS when they show they actually care about my eggs getting to me safely.

QJ & CG you will love your new goslings!! They are quite different than ducklings! They are very CALM! They like to be pet and are not fearful of humans, and they make the funniest cooing type noise instead of a peep.
