Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Ohhh cant help you with those colors. My summer goal is to get a white hen and a pied hen.
=)
Well actually white is on grandmas list. Butt. I like them 2

Lol, I want a white one too. At first I didn't want any white birds because I thought they were boring. The more I look at them the cuter they get though, which is why I've ended up with white silkies, white geese, white turkey, and a few other white chickens too. I need to keep my calls colorful for a little variety. Or just give up and have all white midget birds.

LOL! NOT annoying!! I completely understand!!! Did you get those pencil lines marked on the eggs? Where's the picture??

Yes I marked them yesterday while we were still talking on here. And today they are between this line (-) and this line (_) lower.

More than the smaller line and a little less than the bigger line. LOL. And the humidity is holding at 30. AND I saw movement in both last night.

ETA: The one that has been more active has a lower dipped air cell than the other one.
That one also seemed to develop quicker. I'm anxious to see if that one comes first. Perhaps placement in the bator is a tad warmer where the first one is.

With my last 2 hatches, I was able to determine with 95%+ accuracy the order of hatching based on rate of aircell drop and shadows rising in back.

Gross. Good luck with that. I'm over winter.

Yep. Now it's time for spring. Which means a foot of mud everywhere here. I shall have all brown birds within a few weeks I think. This is the only time of year I use straw as bedding, otherwise I sink to my ankles sometimes. The city is supposed to be fixing the drainage around here soon, but at the moment it ALL goes to the coop.
.
Not the best pic, I took it from my bedroom window. You can see the poor guys yard and coop is in a little valley though. I can deal with mud though, c'mon spring!

The city is supposed to fix something? (insert eye roll).
