maybe, the funny thing is my first hatch was 95% and i did not reserch or do anything special

I think I keep low key about mine, becasue the emotional involvement with egg pregnancies comes at a price. Heartbreak is an acceptable norm here. I know it sucks, and Its not fair.

We should all get a pretty tiara for being such good fairy eggmamas.... Trying to make miracles and prevent disasters, and all w/o a magic wand.

Just remember when you help them.. it's a long process. usually over the course of 2 days. As long as their nares are out and they can breathe, I leave them like that for 12 to 24 hours. depending on when hatch date was.

I really don't know why that happens. But I'm of the opinion that once the membrane gets dry like that.. it tends to stay that way. None of it makes sense!

Exactly!

Here's my last update of the night.

Both Sebbies are pushing on the back of the air cell now. I marked where the air cell dropped to so I can compare in the morning.

They are in the LG at 35% humidity. So we're ready for lift off.

I also have all 5 Swedish Flower hens internally pipping. I'm excited about that. Since I started with 13 eggs AND I picked them up, so they weren't shipped.

So that was a bummer.

sorry about your swedish flowers! but yay for the ones that are pipped!

yay for the goosies! i will have to maybe live through your guys's pics for a while

bakin, keep your chin up. Duckling are surprisingly tough and resilient! They may be ok. They are all out of shells now?
