Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Yes QJ. I am. I probaly would have left them go anyway. I got scared.

I candled my goose eggs. Nothing yet. But they have only been in for a day or 2. So its all good for now.

I'm starting to favor the geese too. But then I think, is it just the Sebbies that are this calm? I wonder if those Chinese geese are this way. I think they are supposed to be loud and mean when they grow up.

i bet they are the same as babies.
mine are still working on warming up.
yours is prolly so attached bcuz you was there when she hatched.

CG: Love the brooder set up AND what I love more is those Duckies!!!

i will be glad when the peanuts leeave.
and the duckies look sooo tiny next to the girls.
and their colors really puzzle me

Celtic told me they were nippy and loud when she found out I was ebay some eggs. The eggs were for my mom and dad, who kept a pair for a long time in the "junkyard" of antique tractor parts out back, to warn them if someone was there. (The goose equiv. to a junkyard dog. Kansas farmers are very protective of their crapola.) LOL

Ha. Same in Missouri. Specifically the Ozarks. LMBO.

Why are chickens so MEAN?! I put the teenagers outside in a cage next to the not-laying hens, and then the toddlers in with the teenagers. And the stupid sussex chickens tried to eat the toddlers. So now I have them separate again.

Good grief.
My hubby is getting a little pissy with all these separate brooders I have going.

and very cacabolistic.

Afternoon all. Craptastic day here. Internet went down, ok turned on 3G on the iPad, that wouldn't connect. Now I can't PM on here. This after a very long weekend getting lobster red sunburn followed by cutting my head open while work on the new brooders.

DG glad you have pips in the RIR eggs finally.

QJ love the pictures of your goose, please share more.
