So I went to give the babies their morning treat.. and noticed one gosling kept trying to crawl into my hand when tossing lettuce out. I said to hubby, hm.... there's a gosling that keeps trying to get me to pick it up. I wonder if you have anything to do with this? He gives me a sheepish grin and says, yeah, I had him in my lap watching tv last night after you went to sleep.

While I was cooking for all the kids this moring, I was thinking about the eggs.

I'm all caught up, finally. My Chocolate Turkeys go on LOCKDOWN TODAY! At 8:30 to be specific. 3 look hatchable, 1 is questionable.

My new incubator isn't here yet. I wish It would get here!

Yay on the turkeys. Have you hatched them before? I need to get some turkey eggs for hubby. I have all my birds, he wants a turkey, so it's only fair. He wants a colorful one though, so I think I'll try to either get eastern wild or naragansett eggs. I only see bbb, bbw, midget whites, royal palms, blue slate, and black spanish locally or I'd just try to find poults since all I want is one tom, for hubby and to keep my midget company. If I find a midget white tom for sale locally before that though, I'm getting it and dyeing it.

Yay! Another baby hatched! And is all fluffed, and in the brooder. Another one just hatched a second ago... 1 is externally pipped, and 1 died

Awww. I'm glad she likes all her friends. I can't wait to have grown up ducks again, they are so much calmer and sweeter than these little spaz's. My oldest ones are 2 months old already, so not long to go now.
