the membranes still look pretty soft and moist (from the pic anyway), mine were pure white and leatherly looking! i hope they come out ok for you!

I've been keeping a close eye on them. (no, really, was up way too late last night)

I've got to go to work for a while, trying to make this a half day. I'm already running late, I should be dressed and out collecting eggs right now. Yes, 3 of my girls are giving me eggs!!!

my little one was over 24 hours in the bator waiting for others but then i was worried, these guys were 6 days apart

will they ever get to the point where they can be together?

I think once the younger ones get feisty enough, they can be put together. At some point they'll have to mingle.

i dont think colcor sexing works on all strains of the breed.
sometimes it gets lost in the breeding.

and maybe hes just resting?

That's what it said when I googled. I'm going to email the breeder and ask her what she thinks. Then I'll try to guess and sell the rest.
He's gone. I'm sure of it. He zipped almost all the way around. It's a little round egg though. I think that has something to do with it. I don't want to open it up though.. because..

QJ, if it fully zipped I would be pulling the egg and lifting the shell off. He may have just gotten twisted while zipping.

I got an egg from the layers today!!! First one in 3 weeks! I hope whoever it is continues. She must like her new run!

I also have the teenagers in a cage beside the big girls... debating on mingling them and seeing what happens.. but my inner chicken is telling me to wait.
