Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Wow, lots of nice pics today.

QJ - You'll be glad you are such a gracious lady, once its over. Its hard to look back and regret the time spent for others, but im the meantime, here is a hug!

I just keep thinking to myself, "A service to others is serving God." Although, I don't know if serving beer is serving God... but still.

We're all good now.. There are only 2 guys here and I happen to like them both. Girls are asleep and I can have some fun.

Know how you feel. Hubby decided to have a bunch of friends over to drink and grill. I'm not complaining too much this time, he was at least nice and got his mom coming to get the girls so I'm not stuck watching them and can have a few beers for once.

Oh good. Usually it doesn't turn out that way. I'm glad he remembered you might like to have fun too.

I was "sent" to my parents house for the evening and told I could return at 8pm. (eye roll)

Don't freak if it's 24 hours.

And Welcome!!

I started with 25 eggs...I have at least 4 that have quit. I am on day 26 or 27 now...It seems that I have 2 that have internally pipped, as the air cell has shifted quite a bit in the egg, and I can see movement when candled.

So, the panic now sets in, how long should I expect once they have internally pipped until I see some external pipping?

It is usual to have eggs ahead of schedule, or are all the other duds or just delayed?

Ok, I have the same set up. If you fill all water wells, wet a sponge but wring it out good.. that will equal 70 to 75 percent.
Thanks for the quick responses...

I am running a Little Giant (that had an auto-turner) but no fan/forced air. I also have no hygrometer. The water wells are full, and I have a soaked sponge sitting in there as well. Anything else I can do to improve humidity?

Should I leave the temp @ 99f?

Ok so funny story real quick.. I told hubby that he needed to water the goose/ducks a few times while I was gone.

(they have a small bowl that I constantly refill to eliminate messes.. since they are in my living room and all..)

I came home and had 3 people tell me.. "Oh, I watered the ducks."

So apparently my hubby told everyone here (basically his brothers, brother in laws, a couple friends) that if they saw the duck bowl empty they needed to fill it.

LMAO!

Glad they took good care of your babies. Nice boys to spend a bachelor party taking care of ducklings, lol.

I'm just glad it's over! Good grief.

Hope you're having fun too with no kidlits.

I missed the whole music concert they put on though. Hubbys a drummer and there were some other musicians here. Whatevs. I miss all the cool stuff.
