Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I figure they'd be ok, but since I had more coming, I went ahead. (and the bator was ready....) I really wanted to do it with you and Celtic though. Kinda bummed, but we'll all be real close.

hubby is sitting beside Squishy talking to him/her ... excuse is he doesn't want this one to be mean

UNO isn't a white call, would be all yellow if he was. Could be a snowy or a blue fawn. Our blue fawns are born looking just like that.

Iain, not too sure about those eggs there. They deffinetly look questionable, I would be watching them closely so you don't end up with a surprise oozer.
Update on hubby, he is in extreme pain tonight that even IV meds aren't touching.

we have a starting point though with the specialist Pasonage Turner syndrome. It's atleast a starting point and hopefully they can get it under control for his sake. Hoping he will still come home tomorrow, but now worried he might be there for awhile. Will be taking the baby to see if tomorrow if he isn't allowed to come home.

I hope they find a med that eases the pain quickly Celtic.... unfortunatly my hubby also deals with cronic sever (sp) pain. Thoughts and prayer to your whole family.

It will probobly work out. I do lots of ducks, and this does happen, and most recover with little lasting damage. Keep notes on how it works. If you keep hatching ducks, you'll encounter it again. They have extremely delicate legs, it doesn't take much to mess them up a bit.

Trust me, it can get far weirder..... After all these years of ducks, I've seen some crazy stuff make it out of an egg.

I've seen some sad situations from bad egg position. I had a pekin whose legs were limp from the hock down. Poor little guy got around using its wings and beak until its little heart gave out. I took this poor baby as a pity adoption from a feed store.

I saw a Muscovy with one terribly twisted leg that lived 9 months hopping around on one foot. Amazing the will to live of these birds!

Well, I went up and spent a little time with Pocket before bed. I've been feeding Pocket mash with my fingers and water from an eyedropper just to make sure he/she is getting food and water. And of course, Pocket got a ride in my pocket while I filled up water containers for the night.

I worry so much about the little pooper and I have to be at work tomorrow.

I'm going to call it a night. Stupid time change is going to have me wrecked for a week!
