Ok cuteness overload

Brenda, just remember to go very slow, if you see blood stop and let rest. Once the nares are free and they can easily breathe you can relax more and take longer between the helping.

Yeah, I keep 2 tux males and my hens have the color variety. This way it makes hatching interesting. Never know what I am gonna get. I tried bacon wrapped bbq'd quail. ICK! The bbq sauce did not compliment the meat. I am not sure why.

I think I need more colors. And more, I've only tried a few extra males I had. I still want to try bacon wrapped grilled quail. Mine have been slacking and not laying for over a month now though.

I'm really considering eating them all and starting over.

We have begun the assist with 2 eggs that have pipped on the wrong end, so that they can at least breathe well.

We are now on Day 28, but only have 6 out of 21 pipped. (And 4 of those are on the wrong end)

Hoping for more pips as the day goes on.

Srbenda, I would candle all the ones that have not pipped. If internally pipped, I would make an external pip holes in those eggs too. Please keep us posted!!

OK, I am just worried about opening the bator too much, but I guess it's a bit late to worry about that.
If they are not internally pipped, should I go ahead and externally pip it, in the event they do it internally?
